This vent cover is so much better than the previous soffitt vent cover. The old design had to be be cut and then mounted loosely to permit the flaps to function properly. It took a long time to get it just right. This vent cover allows us to tape it to the vent pipe, mount it in the soffitt, intall four screws, and its done. I have only one concern but it will take some time to determine if it is warranted--I wonder if there will be a problem with birds wanting to nest in it?

The color of the product I received was actually white when the picture listed was brown. Color choice was not an option so beware if you can't live with a white one.
